Olusegun Obasanjo riding Keke
Former President Obasanjo drives a tricycle and picks up passengers in Abeokuta,where he said he employed 5,000 young people to work.
LBROADCAST reported that Olusegun Obasanjo rode a commercial tricycle on Saturday through several districts of Ogun's capital, Abeokuta.
The former president donated tricycles to 85 people as part of an empowerment program to commemorate his 85th birthday.
It was reported that the ex- president,Olusegun Obasanjo clocked 85 on the 5th day of March 2022.
Photographer Daniel Olusanya shared photos of Obasanjo on his Facebook page, saying the former president was driving from his home in Abeokuta to the Kuto under-bridge area.
The former president pointed, stopped to pick a male passenger on the road to show that tricycles are safe when used properly and that people can develop skills by starting small.
Back at the OOPL residence, Obasanjo admitted he dared to ride the Keke to show people that it was nothing. bad to ride a keke,and also use it commercially.
Obasanjo said, “There's nothing wrong in young people starting small. The Keke is secure and safe when handled professionally and with discipline.
“In fact, you can plan your business the way you wish and earn income that you can deploy to other investments. And if you are able to get a second one, you can give that to someone else. So, you become self-employed and you have also employed somebody.”
