LBroadcast understands that the Osun State election is scheduled to be held on 16th of July,2022.
The Honorable Lasun Yusuf is the flagbearer of the Labour Party, while current governor Gboyega Oyetola is the APC candidate and Ademola Adeleke is the People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate.
Other candidates include Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord and Goke Omigbodun from the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Recollecting that fact that the party's candidate for governor, Sir Yusuf, escaped an assassination attempt early Monday morning, when gunmen allegedly broke into his country house in Ilobu Irepodun province.
The shooters stormed his residence at around 02:00 am, but his security forces strongly resisted theml.
