Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, criticized Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku, calling them "useless" during Chelsea's 3-0 loss to Brighton on Friday night.
Chelsea failed to register a single shot on target in the 90 minutes at the Amex.
Goals from Kaoru Mitoma and a brace from Yakunba Minteh secured Brighton's second victory over Chelsea in five days.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville commented, “Chelsea should be able to do what Rutter and Welbeck are doing, pound for pound. Nkunku and Palmer are very good players but were very poor tonight. These talented players were useless as a pair tonight. This is where their team needs them, and they need to turn up.”
He continued, “Nkunku and Palmer didn’t make any forceful runs behind the Brighton defense. Brighton’s defenders had an easy game tonight. The Brighton players made runs in behind all night. It is simple.”
Chelsea remains in fourth place with 41 points, with 14 fixtures remaining.
