In a heartfelt revelation, popular Yoruba movie actress Kudirat Ogunro shared her journey into the entertainment industry, highlighting her early days as a hairdresser in Iyabo Ojo's salon.
During an interview on Oyinmomo TV's official YouTube channel, Ogunro recounted how working for the esteemed actress significantly shaped her career.
Reflecting on her experiences, Ogunro revealed that she earned just 2,500 naira for her work at the salon—a modest sum that nonetheless provided invaluable exposure and skills.
"Iyabo Ojo used to pay me 2,500 naira when I was working as a hairdresser at her salon," she stated. This experience not only honed her hairstyling skills but also opened doors to filmmaking opportunities.
Ogunro explained that she was encouraged by someone to pursue hairdressing instead of traditional employment after giving birth. "After I gave birth to my child, I decided to learn hairstyling because it is something that has interested me since I was young," she noted. It was during this pivotal time at Iyabo's salon that she discovered the world of acting and filmmaking.
