Trending; Tinubu discloses what he provides to "each of the governors"




President Bola Tinubu stated that Nigeria would not have survived if his administration had not removed the fuel subsidy. Speaking at the maiden APC national caucus meeting in Abuja on February 25, Tinubu noted that governors can confirm their state allocations have tripled.

He revealed that the removal of the fuel subsidy has allowed the country to provide more funds for local government administrations and student loans.

Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria would not have overcome the economic challenges without removing the fuel subsidy on his first day in office. He proudly mentioned that governors are now receiving increased allocations.

The president highlighted that the removal of the fuel subsidy has made sufficient funding available for local governments and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to support students.

Tinubu expressed that the government is working towards a clear future for Nigeria and appreciates global developments teaching the lesson that Nigeria can build itself and help Africa grow.

He stated, "There is no way Nigeria could have survived the continuation of the fuel subsidy. There is no way; today, I can beat my chest and each of the governors here that allocations to the states are triple."
